The Wormwood plant has grey-green leaves with small yellow flowers. The use of Absinth, in English, goes back thousands of years. Ancient Egypt (civilisation) 3300 B.C. used this herb to combat the ailment "Uka", which remains a mystery to this day. The bible also mentions wormwood. This herb has a history of use, and not only through consumption. In pre-Christian times, wormwood was also used for burning corpses. Absinth was placed around and on the funeral pyre. The reason why this was done may have to do with the hallucinatory effects of Absinthe. Because of these effects, this could be interpreted as coming into contact with the hereafter.

Ingredient

Wormwood - Absinthe Balm

Effects

Wormwood Indian Spirit has a calming effect and stimulates creativity in a subtle way. In combination with alcohol or in large quantities Absinth can result in hallucinogenic experiences.

Usage

Add 40 grams to a bottle (0,7 litre) of vodka (or other alcoholic drink). Allow to brew for 2 weeks. Strain the drink and it is ready for use. If you have made Absinthe, first try a small glass of the drink. Then wait one hour to observe the effects. If you want to make tea, add 1 teaspoon to a cup of hot water and let it steep for 15 minutes. Do not use this remedy regularly and do not take more than 1 gram per day.
