OUTDOOR CANNABIS BREEDING REPORT

Welcome to the fourth part of my outdoor cannabis grow report. In my previous outdoor cannabis grow report. I have harvested my two Sensi Skunk Autoflowers. As a replacement, I have start growing two Royal Queen Sweet Skunk ladies. My photoperiod cannabis plants do well with the cages around them. I still have and had a small leaf problem with some plants. However, this problem has now been almost resolved.

Growing Sweet Skunk Royal Queen Seeds!

I had germinated the two Sweet Skunk seeds from Royal Queen Seeds in 20 Litre Air pots (see outdoor cannabis grow report part 3). After a good and fast germination, the plants soon emerged from the ground. They both grew quickly at first. One of the two is now considerably behind the other in terms of growth. They have both been standing for 5 weeks now and the Royal Queen Seeds Sweet Skunk # 1, is already starting to flower. The Royal Queen Seeds Sweet Skunk # 2, is still a small plant. The reason for this, I'm not 100% sure, but given the same growing conditions, the pots are the same size and the soil is exactly the same, I think it has to do with the phenotype or that it was simply a "bad" seed. Luckily, I have these two plants "extra" and one of them is doing really well! The Royal Queen Seeds Sweet Skunk # 1, as mentioned above, is starting to flower quite well!

How do you handle a cannabis Leaf problem?

In my previous breeding report you can read that I had a small leaf problem, namely yellow leaves, mainly at the bottom of the plant and especially at the older leaves. I have decided to remove most of the yellow leaves and to rinse the soil of the plants equally well with tap and rainwater. This means that you only give (extracted) water for a while, so without nutrients and with the correct pH value to remedy too much nutrition / accumulation of nutrients or to give the soil a more neutral pH. After having 'rinsed' all the plants well, many of them already looked a lot greener. I then started to give the correct dosage of food again and the problem is almost solved. As good as, because there is one more Hollands Hope (# 1) where I mainly see some yellow leaves and burnt leaf tips at the bottom. So one of the two Hollands Hope still has a leaf problem. This cannabis plant is therefore 'rinsed' until all the (new) leaves are beautiful green again.

Cannabis plants in bloom!

In my previous outdoor cannabis grow report, I have talked about the Autoflowers that flowered and were harvested. I also mentioned that my Royal Queen Seeds Sweet Skunk # 1 has also started flowering and now I can also tell you that a few of my photoperiod cannabis plants are also (just) in bloom. In the week of Monday, August 3, I noticed that the Monster Zkittlez (# 1) was starting to have flower hairs, the first sign of flowering and a few days later the Monster Zkittlez (# 2) followed. About one to two weeks later, Sensi Seeds' Early Skunk also started to flower. The Critical followed soon after. So now four of my cannabis plants are in the (initial) phase of flowering.

The Monster Zkittlez (# 1) is currently most advanced in its flowering stage. The smell was strong and delicious, especially on sunny days or after a rain shower. The other cannabis plants are also starting to spread their delicious odor. As nutrition, I use the following products from Biocanna: Bio Rhizotonic, Bio Vega, Bio Flores and Bio Boost. When the flowering phase started for each plant (visible flowering hairs), I continued with growth fertilizer, started using bloom fertilizer and boost. In the meantime, I have switched to only Bloom Nutrition and Boost with a little bit of root stimulator (Biocanna Rhizotonic). Both cannabis plants Hollands Hope are still in the growth phase. I hope they both will flower soon. The 'ladies', because fortunately they are all as far as I know, are now doing (very) well.

Harvest of the Sensi Skunk and my first joint

Earlier I had harvested my Sensi Skunk Autoflowers (# 1 and # 2) and hung the buds (with branches) to dry for about +/- 14 days. After drying the buds well, I cut part of the crop myself and a part with a good friend of mine. I thought it was a fun activity, but very sticky (on the fingers). However, this is only a good sign right? Yes, a very good sign! Once I smelled the first bud of the Sensi Skunk, I immediately knew that this was very good weed. Once grinded, it emitted an even stronger scent. Immediately rolled a pure joint, fired it up and after smoking my first joint i felt right away high and proud to be able to smoke my own weed, pure pleasure! The quality is very good, I am even a bit surprised. However, the quantity could have been a bit more. Anyway, since the cannabis plants suffered from bud rot, I had to harvest a few weeks earlier, I think that the result of 40 grams of dried weed is certainly not bad. Quality over quantity!

Conclusion

Enjoying your own 'homegrown' weed is really a wonderful feeling, everyone should be allowed to experience it. Check out our Seedshop and see the many different types of Cannabis strains we offer! I want to finish this blog with some cool (world) famous Stoner quotes:

'' Stoners are some of the coolest people you'll ever meet ''

'' Don't judge someone until you have shared a joint with them ''

'' God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed ''

“Why use up the forests which were centuries in the making and the mines which required ages to lay down, if we can get the equivalent of forest and mineral products in the annual growth of the hemp fields?

'' Make the most you can of the hemp seed and sow it everywhere ''

'' Marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could '

'' Why is marijuana against the law? It grows naturally upon our planet. Doesn't the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit.… Unnatural? ”

“ The biggest killer on the planet is stress and I still think the best medicine is and always has been cannabis ”
