THIS IS HOW YOU GET MULTIPLE HARVESTS FROM A MUSHROOM GROW KIT

Growing mushrooms is not difficult with a grow kit and the nice thing is that you can get multiple flushes (or harvests) from it. Not once, but harvest three or four times. Using a magic mushroom grow kit

Using your own cultivated mushrooms is of course great. And you don't have to be a highly trained expert to grow magic mushrooms at home. In our shop you will find grow kits, which consist of a grow tray, a bag and the substrate. The substrate consists of the mycelium, which is the network of threads and fungi of the magic mushroom. The mushroom grows from this, which is actually the fruit that rises above the ground. The grow kit comes with a manual, so you know exactly what to do when you get it home.

Growing is also good for beginners. After about 3 weeks you can harvest your magic mushrooms for the first time. But don't throw the grow kit away now. You can harvest one more time (or maybe even two to four more times).

How do you get another crop from the grow kit?

Or do another flush from the grow kit depends on how you handle it. If you use the following method, you can harvest several times. Clean everything and work hygienically to prevent contamination. First of all, it is important that you do not let your mushrooms grow for too long. To determine the right time to harvest, keep an eye on the caps. At a certain point the membranes under the caps become thinner and let go.

If the membrane breaks, the mushroom will release spores. If those mushroom spores land on the mycelium, this can prevent the mycelium from producing fruit afterwards. The spores also give a black layer on the other mushrooms and the kit itself. Sometimes the layer of spores becomes so thick that the following mushrooms cannot grow. So you harvest shrooms just before the skin comes off.

How do you get the next crop now? These two ways do not apply to the All-In-One, Mondo or Freshmushrooms grow kits, but to other brands of grow kits. For a second or third flush of a grow kit we offer, always follow the instructions listed with the article itself. Use one of the following two methods with a grow kit that we do not offer:

• Take the tray with substrate and fill it with water. Put the lid on and put the grow kit in the fridge for 12 hours. Then remove the lid and pour off the water, let it drain for 10 seconds. The grow kit is now ready for the next flush.
• Place the grow tray under the tap and let the water run through for about 2 to 3 hours. Running water takes less time to soak the mycelium and bacteria are less likely to form. But of course it takes a lot of water. Then let it drain again.

Getting multiple flushes from a grow kit

It is not possible to guarantee that you can get 2 or more flushes from a grow box. This is a natural phenomenon and you never know exactly whether it will go the way you want. If you pay close attention to your grow kit, it is possible to get 3 to 5 flushes or harvests. Each growing cycle will take about 3 to 6 weeks.

So within 9 weeks you may be able to harvest 3 times. That is of course something to look forward to. You will be able to stock up on a large supply of magic mushrooms. You then have so many that you can dry them better, so that they have a longer shelf life. After that you can enjoy your magic mushrooms.
